The World Affairs Program is a student-run academic program within the College of Social Sciences, which gives the students of FSU a social, academic, and competitive outlet in an educational setting. The primary mission of the World Affairs Program (WAP) is to promote an increased awareness of the global community, while at the same time encouraging personal, social, and political growth among those who participate in the program. Common ways of achieving that mission include, but are not limited to, the following:

Speakers
Mentor Programs
Campus Political Activity
Model United Nations Conference Simulations
Crisis Body Simulations
Travel

Membership in the organization is both free and open to students of all majors and levels.

From this web site members and nonmembers alike will be able to view up-to-date information on activities, conferences, tryouts and practice sessions, as well as other general information on our program. We are in the process of moving many activities that were once conducted through more traditional means to the World Wide Web. This means that more information will become available as we develop our web presence. So look out for more content as the semester gets started, but also be aware that this site is under development, and thus some sections are not yet fully operational.

If you are a new member then we suggest reading over our conference information page and signing up to be on the WAP mailing list. This way you will receive all WAP communications and be kept up to speed on WAP activities. Beyond that we invite you to explore our site, download our brochure, stop by our office, email or call with any questions, and get involved for a fun-filled year of intellectual activities and intense competition with the Florida State University's World Affairs Program!
