Board of Advisors

The Board of Advisors supports WAP's operations and provides advice and direction. The Board's current members are:

Chairman – James G. Parker [email] (Florida State, B.S. Finance; Indiana University, JD) - Parker is the founding Chairman of the Board, serves on the Board’s nominating committee, and is currently a litigation attorney in Portland, Oregon.


Vice Chairman – Joshua D. Curry [email] (Florida State, B.A. Physics and Government; University of Florida, JD and Certificate Intellectual Property Law) - Curry is a founding member of the Board, serves on the Board’s nominating committee, and is currently a patent and intellectual property litigation attorney in Atlanta, Georgia.


Dr. Sarah M. Dreller (Florida State, B.A. International Affairs; University of Virginia, M.Arch.Hist.; University of Illinois at Chicago, Ph.D., Art History) - Dreller is a founding member of the Board and was the first female Director of the World Affairs Program.  Dreller is currently a professor of art, architectural history, and historic preservation in Chicago, Illinois.


Kathryn Fitzgerald (Florida State, B.A. International Affairs and B.A. History; American Military University, M.S. National Security Studies) - Fitzgerald is a founding member of the Board, serves on the Board’s nominating committee, and is currently an Air Force officer.


Danielle E. Hale (Florida State, B.A. International Affairs and M.S. Applied Economics) – Hale is currently an economist in Washington, D.C.


Allin M. Hedge (Florida State, B.S. Finance) – Hedge is currently an analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.


Robert Johnson [email] (Florida State, B.S. Political Science; Masters in Public Administration) – Johnson is the co-founder of WAP, a founding member of the Board, has 25 years of local government management experience, and is currently retired in Richmond, Virginia.


Eric Reading (Florida State, B.A. and M.A. International Affairs; Virginia Tech, Ph.D. candidate Governance and Globalization) - Reading is currently an executive at an international development firm in Washington, D.C.


Emir A. Sirker (Florida State, B.S. Political Science) – Sirker is a founding member of the Board and is currently an officer in the Navy.
